TIPS ~
Please note that this project calls for paper rather than cardstock. Copy paper is appropriate and perfect for making a digital print or otherwise decorating to match your card.
For a standard, rectangle shape card, measure diagonally and add 1 inch to that measurement. Then create a square of that size in paper. *For A2 size card you will need a 8 inch square paper.
For a square card, measure diagonally and add 2 inches. create a square of that size of paper.
For a round or odd shaped card, begin with a 12 x 12 sheet of paper and trim as appropriate.

Step 1 - Place the square paper you created from your measurements as a diamond shape in front of you with your card in the center of the paper.

Step 2 - Lift the bottom of the paper and fold it, keeping the card as your guide. Fold both the sides in making sure the bottom edges line up and the points meet in the middle.
Lastly bring the top down so that the envelope can close.

Step 3 - Once done folding all the sides, open them and remove the card. You will see small triangles formed on all four sides, cut them out to remove bulk. Score all your folds once again folding the sides in before the bottom.

Step 4 - Now add liquid glue (your favorite) to both side flaps and attach the bottom part. Viola!  Your envelope is ready to decorate or embellish as you like.  Simply add your card and glue the top down when you are ready to ail or hand deliver.
**NOTE ~ USPS charges extra for oversized or odd shaped envelopes that cannot go through the standard sorting machine.
